Heart and Soul Auction Update: We Need Your HelpWednesday, February 11, 2009
Each year, the All Souls Outreach programs receive funding as a result of our annual Heart & Soul Auction. Our Co-Chairs for the February 2010 Auction, Mark Leeds and Marilyn Collins have an exciting plan for an enjoyable and successful fundraising event.
Everyone is aware of what a challenging and stressful economic climate we are dealing with right now. At the same time the 19 outreach programs that depend on our Heart & Soul Charitable Fund grants are trying to serve even more clients due to this same condition. We need your help as we look for corporate sponsors, benefactors, auction donations and volunteers.
Corporate Sponsors: We need companies who are willing to contribute at least $1,000 to the Heart & Soul Charitable fund. Will you ask if your company has a philanthropic goal for this year? Would they consider a contribution to the Charitable Fund?
Benefactors: We need more "angels" to cover the costs of the auction and to begin building the grants pool for our 2010 outreach efforts.
Auction Donations: We are looking for unique, one of a kind auction items; something that could not normally be purchased. Are you affiliated with an institution/museum where you could provide a "behind the-scenes" tour? Do you know a sports figure that would be willing to provide a lesson? These types of items will generate priceless memories and great auction bids.
If you can make a contribution in any of these areas please contact me at BillBechman@aol.com.
Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to help us plan and produce a wonderful 2010 Heart & Soul Auction. Invitations are going out shortly to those of you who have already signed up to volunteer. New volunteers can sign up at the Heart & Soul Information Table at coffee hour each Sunday. Our website provides thorough information about Heart & Soul. Please check it out: www.heartandsoulfund.org
And, don't forget to visit our Heart & Soul Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 14thand 15thin Reidy Friendship Hall.
