2010 Auction planning is underway

Thursday, July 09, 2009

The Heart & Soul Charitable Fund provides aid to segments of the New York area community who are living in marginalized situations, including the Monday Night Hospitality and Friday Soup Kitchen programs, which serve guests in All Souls Reidy Friendship Hall and rely on members of the Congregation to operate. Grant funding comes primarily from our annual Heart & Soul auction and approximately $250,000 was raised during the 2009 auction.

2010 auction planning has started with Co-Chairs Marilyn Collins and Mark Leeds. Next year's auction will take place at the Downtown Association located at 60 Pine Street in Manhattan and will include a sit down dinner as well as our auction. The official announcement about 2010 auction will be available as soon as the Honoree selection process is completed.

If you would like to volunteer on any aspect of the auction please contact Bill Bechman (william.bechman@mountsaintvincent.edu) Marilyn Collins (marilyncollins3@yahoo.com) or Mark Leeds (leedsm@gtlaw.com). We're particularly looking for help with PR planning, technology planning, and event night organization. Heart & Soul is a great organization, a wonderful way to get involved and meet people, a lot of fun and, most importantly, a very rewarding way to give back to the community.

Also, watch for announcements about our third annual Heart & Soul Art Show and Sale to be held in Reidy Hall on November 14th and 15th.
