We mourn the loss of our friend and trustee, Mila Baker, who passed away June 23rd. In addition to being a long-time supporter of Heart and Soul, Mila was a leader in organizational development, as well as a dedicated philanthropist in her community. Dr. Mila Baker is an accomplished business executive, founder of PaperEgg Design and Consulting, author of Peer to Peer Leadership: Why the Network is the Leader and most recently the Academic Chair of the M.S. in Human Resource Management and Development program at New York University.
She has 20+ years' experience in the areas of talent and organization development, business strategy, organization design, leadership and change.
Her work experience has included senior positions at Fortune 50 multinational companies, international organizations and higher education, including Pfizer Inc., Johnson & Johnson, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and Kuwait University. She has been responsible for the design, implementation and success of major change initiatives, organization design and leadership programs. She was named the 2014 distinguished alumni at University of Cincinnati McMicken College of Arts & Sciences. She is the past Board Chair of the Organization Development Network, Advisory Board Member of the McMicken College of Arts & Sciences, and Board Member of the Berrett-Koehler Foundation. She is also a licensed psychologist. She has two sons and lives in Stamford, CT with her husband Clarence.
